ANDRÉ SCHLAUCH is ceramist, working in the borderlands between experimental archaeology, arts and crafts. Intention of his work is the experimental research of ancient processes in ceramic modelling, ornamentation and reduction techniques, and their use in traditional craftsmanship. He specializes in the replication of ceramics from the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods. In music archaeology, he is particularly interested in ancient drums, horns, and rattles made from clay.
