Filming in France, November 2014
This month, we travelled to the South of France to the village of Naves, where the original Tintignac carnyx was found. With the support of the Tintignac Association, we joined musician John Kenny and Isabelle Chastagnol (Tintignac Association) at the archaeological site where the carnyx fragments were found.
Later, we filmed the concert in the church at Naves, where 200 people came to hear the replica Tintignac carnyx played, by John Kenny, for the very first time.
Instrument maker, Jean Boisserie, who made the replica of the Tintignac carnyx, also invited us to his workshop as part of the trip where we learned more about the process of the making of the instrument.
