STEFANO DE ANGELI studied in Urbino, Rome and Heidelberg and is currently Associate Professor for Classical Archaeology at the Department of Cultural Heritage Sciences of the University of Tuscia in Viterbo. The main topics of his research are: the Greek and Roman art, the computer applications to archaeological research and the archaeology of the ancient landscape. As member of EMAP, he is responsible for the scientific activities conducted by the University of Tuscia, particularly for the study of the contexts of use of the ancient musical instruments in the Greek, Etruscan and Roman cultures, and for the chemical-physical analysis on bronze musical instruments, which will lead to their reconstruction.
